At Asmall, we aim to provide children with an experience of music that results in them not only seeing music as a subject, but as a thread that will run throughout their lives. We encourage our children to express themselves through music, whether that be with their voices or with a variety of musical instruments. Using a combined curriculum of instrumentation units, performance units and Kapow, the children at our school are provided with a wide range of musical experience. We recognise that all children have a wide range of musical ability and seek to provide learning opportunities for children of all experience levels. Music at Asmall is a celebration, it is embedded throughout our curriculum and the everyday activities of our school.
