Curriculum Overview

Children across Asmall Primary School take part in at least two PE lessons each week.  A carefully planned programme of PE units, taken from West Lancs Sports Partnership, form the basis of the progression of learning.

In addition, we have invested some of our Sports Premium grant to fund a sports coach from West Lancs Sports Partnership (WLSP).  These weekly visits provide enrichment for each class, three half terms each year.  These enrichment sessions are followed by after school sports clubs - which can be accessed by all children (Reception - Year 6).

On Friday afternoons, the head coach from Ormskirk Tennis Club, provides enrichment tennis sessions for each class in turn throughout the year. These sessions are followed by after school tennis sessions, available to all of our children.
