Likewise, if a child proves to be exceptionally gifted or talented the school will provide a programme to ensure he/she reaches their potential. We have good provision for our more able children. Children are identified as being more able in a number of ways including teacher observation, optional and National test results and checklists of characteristics.  The more academically able will be encouraged to take part in LA and local networks.  Talented children are provided for in extra-curricular activities including chess, choir, music tuition, art club and football.  In class, our able pupils are given learning experiences which match their needs in terms of challenge, pace, depth and learning style.
