Lancashire Music Service
We use the Kapow Scheme for our core teaching of music, which is delivered by class teachers. This includes instrumental tuition in Years 3 and 4.
We are also part of Lancashire Music Service. Mr Joe Scott comes into school on Wednesday afternoons and our children have additional, enrichment sessions with him. He works with every child in every class across the year.with Mr Scott, the children learn to play the recorder, the ukulele, glockenspiel and do lots of fun singing and games.
Children are first introduced to music at Asmall as part of their transition from nursery into Reception class in the summer term and continue to work with Mr Scott for at least one term each year.
