Wider Opportunities

Our school buys into Lancashire Music Service Wider Opportunities Programme. This means that we have a specialist teacher in school each week who teaches our children to play tuned instruments. 
 

Children in Years 5 and 6 take part in a full year programme and learn to play string and brass instruments. 
 

Children from Reception to Year 4 also learn to play tuned instruments as part of their weekly music lessons. They have one term of lessons with Mr Scott too. They learn to play the recorder and glockenspiel in addition to classroom percussion instruments and singing.
