Brass Project

Our children had a wonderful opportunity to work with Helen and Jay from Lancashire Music Service On a Brass Project over several weeks in the summer term.  The aim was to introduce children to endangered brass instruments.

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 3 learned how to make sounds on pBuzz instruments before joining together to play a variety of popular tunes. They had an amazing time!
 

Our Year 5 children used pBones and real tubas! After four weeks of lessons in small groups, they were able to play some super pieces together.  The children loved it and were inspired to learn more. 
 

The older children were invited to join Ormskirk Music Centre for their ensembles and choir - and seven of them went along!
