I hope you are all well and have had some nice time together in the Easter holidays!
It has been really encouraging to see what the children have been up to at home, whether it's been writing, artwork or a photo of their scrumtious baking.  PLEASE do keep sending in updates about what you have been up to, and I will try to keep replying as much as I can.  I hope this will keep some motivation going at home, and I may be able to offer some more support in other ways to help them progressing.

All of the teachers at Asmall have decided to follow some schemes of work so that it is a similar layout in the different year groups  This should help for those of you with siblings.  All of the other year groups have begun to follow a similar Class page website layout too, where you will find helpful resources and some super websites.  Every family is different, and so do what works for you.  Some may prefer to have a maths day, and others may prefer to do a little bit of each 'lesson' each day.  I would recomend that you do a daily maths activity, daily english activity and daily phonics.  My Phonics pages have been broken into phases (if in doubt, go to Phase 3 and let the children refresh their knowledge).  There are lots of websites linked, and in the phase 3 section, there are several videos which will teach the sounds for you. Reading on bug club (or their favourite stories at home) will help keep up with their phonics too!
If you feel like you can organise any more activities into your day, there are weekly challenges in the West Lancs PE cards link, and other links to websites in the sections.  Do Dojo me if you feel like you need help with understanding anything.  I look forward to seeing what the children get up to this week.
